Here's the video of my live performance of Kevin Day's PYROTECHNICS Concerto for Trumpet and Wind Ensemble.
It was thrilling to perform and quite challenging technically, but getting to perform with my students is always special! Louis Menchaca, conductor, was in my trumpet studio--this performance was part of his graduation recital for his Masters in conducting at Ithaca College—my current trumpet students were in the trumpet section, and I know the other students from other ensembles I either conduct or coach. It was fun!
